Hello
I would imagine part of why you feel all in a quiver is the news you had yesterday and the worry about the upcoming tests you have to have done soon it makes so many of us feel this way as it is not what we want to hear
But try and see the positives that you are now in the system under their care they would have not sent you home had they thought you were in danger and once all these tests are done you will know what is going to be the best treatment for you
Take it easy and give yourself a few days to get over the news and process it
Let us know how you get on when you have the nest tests done x
Try not to worry. I know it’s easier said than done. My husband had 3 stents put in his carotid artery in 2004. He’s still here to tell the tale. They were done via a vein in his groin and without having to have a general anaesthetic. It was relatively straightforward. Best Wishes.
Hi Nora,
I'm certainly not as well informed as others on this forum but can at least offer a digital shoulder to lean on.
My summary would be, better they have found it than not found it and something bad happen later on down the line. Try your best to stay positive and try to distract yourself with things, even if it's a TV show or socialising with family or friends, anything to help get your mind off of it and slowly the anxiety of this news will be less impactful. Then by the time you know it you'll have your next tests and appointments and be a lot more reassured about your situation.
You can definitely deal with it but don't feel ashamed or worried to reach out to people if you need help or support.
I hope everything goes well for you, I'm sure it will.
