That's really exciting news, I hope its successful. 👍
Dear EdeM
Very interesting thank you, a complete God send for our high blood pressure sufferers.
it seems that you will only need this twice a year {if I’m reading it right} as a posed to a daily {twice in some cases} tablet.
Fewer pills 🤣
Which I would say potentially leads to a huge cost saving.
Fewer potential side effects.
If it works a major factor will be cost. Twice yearly injections of Inclisiran for high cholesterol cost £1,000s whilst Atorvastatin has a base price of about 1p per tablet!
Totally agree on that point, but as with all ‘new medication’ they have to make their money back to cover all the testing and of course make a profit until the licensing is up.
This is why not everyone has been offered Entresto at the moment, but my Cardiologist said that everyone suitable will be on it as soon as the licensing ends.
Something a little sad about the whole thing really, but thats the way it is. Developing medication costs so much, until you know what came along and all costs/profits went out of the window { and rightly so } for drugs to fight that, but we are not going there.
Thank you this looks exciting
That's Great News, especially as I have a condition that swallowing tablets is getting harder as my throat is getting smaller, sometimes it even get stuck half way down and tablets seems to be getting bigger for some conditions.
Thanks EdeM 🤗
