Hi I’m Pel & have degenerative heart disease .. I'm 57 had me first stent at 39 medically retired at 40 .. not great at technology as am more old school & I’m use to chatting on the phone or enjoying a cuppa & a coffee rather than using a pc & sending a email I can just about operate my smartphone but as my typing skills are one finger at a time it takes me ages .. but this is mainly due to my having stiff fingers as I’ve also got rheumatoid arthritis.
I enjoy singing .. am in a choir .. not overly keen on the zoom mode was more use to singing with a community choir till the pandemic changed the way we did things but hey ho & still passionate with regards to anything most related & any genres of music plus singing helps with my wellness it lifts my spirits & plus it helps my breathing . I enjoy cooking & eating .. trying hard to keep myself going whilst enjoying a healthy lifestyle but as I’ve a plethora of health issues it’s not always that easy so when life gives you lemons bake a lemon meringue or make a healthy lemon ice sorbet or if it throws you limes then hey they works well with mint & essential in a mojito . I’ve a good sense of humour .. see the glass half full but hey if it’s have empty that means it needs more mojitos & if they are mocktails with no alcohol I’m fine with that .. just nice to have like minded friends to help me enjoy the happy hour of every day

Someone mentioned to me about singing to help cheer me up my answer was I would set all the cats howling in the gardens as I do not have a singing voice but as you are in a choir I can imagine you would have the birds singing

Royal Brompton & Harefield hospital arts run a sing for breathing & the choir is open to anyone you honestly don’t need to know how to sing . but sing helps with maintaining good posture & also is a stress reliever so I would recommend it & take a leap of faith .. you might surprise yourself it’s on zoom & we have a gigantic giggle without the rest of the world hearing us as it’s just the music leader who we hear sing so try it you will possibly enjoy it .. Monday 2-3
