Weird fainting sensation when trying to sleep.

New to bisoprolol-2weeks now for palps/s.o.b/dizziness . Sleep quality quite poor but last night every time I thought I was going to fall into a sleep I felt as though I was going into a faint.... woke with a start and just couldn't get off. I get a similar experience at other times but really frustrating. Struggling with side effects generally. Any anecdotal experience of similar would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi celticlady. Funny that you should post this as friend and I were discussing something very similar the other day. She has AF and I have had episodes of palpitations, ectopic beats and SVT. I am not on any medication, but am unsure what medication she is taking. But we both find that we can have a strange jitteryness / panicky feeling just before we go to sleep. Doesn’t happen all the time, but unnerving when it does. Would love to know more about this and wether it is heart related or just coincidence!

Thank you ...had a really good night's sleep last night in fact probs overslept. Not sure exactly what's happening but sleep affected . I had random palps , heart flutter but this escalated and was accompanied by dizziness s.o.b and more occurring palps hence BB given. Early days for me as just got phone app with cardio sat. Could be Dodgy electric s as no chest pain.
