Operation or live with it
I would think this is a question for the surgeon who has suggested the cancer sugery.He/she will know how long you will have to be under anaesthetic and how long the recovery time will be. I think these are the critical issues. I am not ignoring your original question but just posing questions in the event of straight forward surgery.I hope you get answers to your question.
Hello Breesha,
I am really sorry that you are facing this difficult dilemma.
Perhaps the best healthcare professional to help you would be a Cardiologist who specialises in treating heart patients with cancer.
Cardio oncology is a new specialty.
There are services at Barts and the Royal Brompton Hospital. Whilst both are in London, I am sure you could ask for a telephone or video consultation.

Good luck!
That's definitely a question for the surgeon I'm afraid but what I can say is if you do have a hysterectomy, first believe them when they say 6 week recovery but also do NOT let them use mesh to fasted your bladder back. A possible eventual prolapse is far preferable to a lifetime of pain from mesh. They've been advised not to use mesh so they call it tape instead. Same thing. Best of luck, you're in a difficult position but something like that has to be the surgeon's decision.
