Can pvcs do this?

I've been told I've got pvcs. I know how they feel in my chest and my pulse. But when I'm taking my pulse I've noticed that it's not normal at all. Like I get the gap and the big beats are my pvcs, but I'm also getting big gaps with normal beats after, big gaps with a big beat after, a few normal beats and then 5 or 6 really fast ones and then a few more normal ones. Most weirdly of all my heart rhythm seems to change every 2 weeks roughly. My doctor isn't listening to me, the cardiologist doesn't want to see me at all, I've been told I can't have a 24 hour Holter. One Dr told me she'd put me in for an echo and when I've chased that up it hasn't been done. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. Is my heart rhythm ment to do this with pvcs or should I start getting mad at my Dr's and making them listen. I'm scared I've got something more and it not being treated is making it worse.

Hi Aimieyy,Yes it’s very frightening when you know your heart isn’t working as it should and from experience the anxiety and stress builds up so much you start thinking worst scenarios.

After several visits to A&E due to hear palpitations eventually I saw a hear consultant and I was it on Bisoprolol which has slowed my heart rate down and after 1.5 years no further visits🤞

When I had my ecg’s and Echo’s it was identified that I had pvcs and an irregular heart beat and told several times that this is quite common and people can live for years with this.

So I try to live life as normal, I have a Fitbit which I use just to keep s check on my heart rate. I play golf 3 times a week and take the dog out twice a day - result average 15000 sets/day often 25000.

I also purchased a Kardia, which is a simple way to monitor your heart wave form. I suggest if you had one when you are experiencing a pvc rhythm that you are concerned about then record this and you can print off or send an email to your doctor/consultant.
