I had a CAC test three years ago that returned a value of 1829. I then had a triple bypass. I have been following a recommended regime and now want to know what my calcium score is. Where can I get another CAC test? I was told that it cannot be done. Is this correct ?

you might try Biolab in London W1.
Can I ask what you will do if the score is the same or worse?
There are no shortage of private clinics in the UK that will do a CAC test for approximately £300-400, but you may also have to pay for an additional consultation.
However, even though a CAC test is a great screening tool for establishing the presence of cardiovascular disease, it's not neccessarily the best tool for monitoring the progression of heart disease over time. The reasons for this are quite technical and are rooted in the details of the CAC test scoring process. In addition older testing equipment delivers quite a high radiation dose, up to x100 versus a standard chest X-Ray, even the latest machines are in the region of x10, so okay for a one off but not something you'd want to use too often. There's a very good explanation of all this in a fairly new book called "Prevention Myths" by two doctors. Brewer and Eldredge.
Before paying several hundred pounds on a CAC test I'd recommend investing a few quid in their book, which explores many other testing options for monitoring the progress of your heart disease.
Good luck!
