Hi everybody. Does anyone know if angina can cause a tingling on one side of tongue or is it more likely to be anxiety caused by the angina? Not aware of being anxious but maybe I am. Thanks guys

A tingling tongue is likely an issue with the nerves in the tongue. There could be lots of causes, but I'm not sure if angina is one of them. I do have intermittent nerve issues and I have discovered that for me, the GTN spray can act as a trigger.

Typically with nerves, tingling is a slight issue, pins and needles is a bit worse, burning sensation indicates more damage.

Hi there, I’m glad I’ve just seen your post. I’ve started with heart problems very recently and have noticed the tingling tongue, mine kind of feels a bit like pins and needles in it. This was prior to any medications being prescribed at all. I take regular vitamin b supplement so not due to that either. Wonder if it’s a lesser known symptom of angina. Been keeping an eye on my symptoms as the angina came on quite suddenly and with increasing regularity and the tingling tongue appeared right about the same time as the regularity increase in symptoms. I wonder did you ever find out what it is connected to??

Hi. I haven't had a definite answer but the tingling is now in my hands along with twinges in both arms. It does stop with gtn spray. Doc said it could be a variant of angina. Put me on a slow release nitrate just in case. Please let me know how you get on too

Now that’s interesting to know. I shall monitor mine after the gtn spray too and see what happens. I’ll keep you updated 👍

Yes please do. I am only assuming you are a lady. Is that right? I only wonder because I have read so many things about women having more complex symptoms of angina compared to men.

Yes I am a female, I also read that women can present with different symptoms. 😊
