So I had this Reveal ICM fitted 3 weeks ago and the op was not at all painful or even soar after. The area of the implant is painful even to a soft touch. There is no swelling or redness so I am happy the wound is fine it's just very painful when any pressure is put on the implant. Even wearing a seat belt to drive is uncomfortable. Sleeping on either side is causing a dull ache. I was wondering if anyone else had this procedure and how they were after 3 weeks? I am not looking forward to having this if it does not subside for up to 3 years.

Insertable Cardiac Monitor question
Hi, I had my reveal loop recorder inserted in 2017 but I've never had pain from it. Speak to your cardiologist it may be just the scar tissue.
Hi, My daughter has the Linq ICM and is now coming up to a year of having it. She’s 15, hers was also to monitor SVT’s and other arrhythmias caused by Marfan Syndrome.
She says that things were very tender for some time and feels that it was very much like bruising and the discomfort eased significantly after 6 weeks. It is sore if it gets direct pressure still but that is usually only during echos. Otherwise she hardly knows it’s there!
Hopefully things will settle down for you soon
