Hi folks
Haven’t been on for a while , but a a question about chest pain and thought this would be my first port of call...
I was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Spasms (Vasospastic Angina) last December and been taking Diltiazem (200mg) daily.
I noticed recently that I now get an annoying , uncomfortable pain in the middle of my chest (feels like my heart) when I breathe deeply , turn or bend over. It feels like I’m pushing on my heart, which causes the pain. It’s more obvious when bending over also seems to be getting worse. I don’t really get anything when at rest.
I should point out that I’m a very active 59yr old. I have considered the following , but just not sure :-
- Could this be wind as suffer badly with wind ? Not sure as the pain is there all the time when bending over etc and would expect with wind that it would come and go.
- Could it be muscle related - I have part time delivery job an do a lot of lifting an twisting ? I have also been doing a bit landscaping recently , which is quite physical work. I also suffer from back and shoulder pain (arthritis and prolapsed discs) Or...
- Is this heart related ?
My GP has washed his hands of me so I won’t be going to seem him. He just gives me pills for everything rather than investigating the source of problems - he’s an internet doctor!
I don’t take any other meds other than the Diltiazem and Omeprozol.
I don’t know what to do and getting quite worried (which I should do with my current heart problem) so I’m hoping that Ill get some good advice from this forum.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and take care .
