Hi just got back from seeing cardiac nurse for echo results no change 😪 after stopping smoking and diet change completely can anyone PLEASE advise me how to improve my EF . HA was on 7th April this year . Can not up meds as I suffer with low BP so talking about pacemaker which I am so scared about. Good news on cholesterol down to 3.2 from 7.8 in 4wks though

Hi what is your EF?HA in April is still recent so give it at least 6 months to notice improvements. All I would say is take your meds, follow a sensible diet and exercise as much as you can.

EF was 31 at time of heart attack. Thank you for your response

I agree with comments so far. In particular-but I’m not a medic- it seems way to early to expect significant improvement. I only had 1st echo 3-4 weeks after HA. It was 40%. I also had stopped smoking etc. The next echo was December and by then improved to 50%. In March it was 60%. So it did ours happen overtime sometimes. Hopefully this will be the case for you. Don’t lose hope

Should read can happen sometimes

Please don`t worry if you have to have a pacemaker.Simple operation to fit it and a life saver.I`ve had 2 in 10 years and very grateful.Best of luck.x
