So, as indicated in a previous post, following my OHS in 2020, I suffered some pretty drastic complications (see: healthunlocked.com/bhf/post... for info).
It now appears that the effects of what I experienced, and am still experiencing have names, and these are things that are not overly communicated.
Post Intensive Care Syndrome [PICS] explains issues with mental and physical health following a stint in an ICU/ITU - and is currently being talked about in terms of 'Long Covid'.
Post Sepsis Syndrome is another issue that can also cover a variety of issues that can be experienced, similar ot PICS but brought about by Sepsis as opposed to just havign a stay in ICU/ITU.
As I was lucky enough to enjoy both of these conditions, ITU for 5 -6 weeks and Sepsis for , well i don't know as i was in a coma, explain why I am struggling to recover in the 'timely manner' that I was hoping to recover.
I mention this, because I see very little mentioned on here about any recovery issues on terms of mental, physical or cognitive natures - and I can't be the only one?
I've as yet to find anything particular group/ web site etc for PICS - but if I do, I will update this post...
Of course, if anyone else has info on this conditons, I would be keen to hear about it.
