Hi community. I have a question that you may or may not be able to answer. As you know from my other posts I am under investigation with cardiology and waiting for tests because there are concerns about my heart rhythm etc. I called my GP surgery this morning because I have been having awful migraines, which I think are due to hormones but not sure. I have been prescribed Sumatriptan and my beta blocker has been increased to 80mg (Propranolol). I have autism and struggle on the phone and interacting with healthcare professionals due to bad past experiences so I didn't really question it or argue back. But now that I have took the time to think about it I am wondering if this is a good idea. I have no idea at the moment if I have a heart condition and it's not always safe to take Sumatriptan if you do. And the increase in beta blocker might not be for the best if I do have a heart rhythm problem. This seems like a terrible idea. Anyone else took Sumatriptan while under investigation or have any advice to offer?

If you are over 65 it’s not advisable to take Sumitriptan. I had to stop.
