Hi, similar, I was diagnosed in A&E, then after waiting a few weeks I was seen by a Nurse from Cardiology, not a Cardiologist. So, I too paid privately. This reassured me greatly, that I was on the correct medication (Rivaroxaban) and I only have Bisoprol, pill in the pocket, if I need to take one, which so far, I havnt. Seems like I had a one off incident. I would like a review but have heard nothing after 7 months, I believe NICE guidelines are 3-6 months but with Covid, it hasn't happened. I'd say, go privately, even just once, it will reassure your Mum. Good luck. Elly

No I didn't Myrtledene,I was told to attend A&E as I had a massive palpitation followed by my heart beating very fast, and it wouldn't slow down. Never happened before, ever. I was given Potassium to drink in A&E, as apparently, mine was low. I'd been eating liquorice every day, so perhaps that caused the low Potassium, so since then, I no longer eat it. Also, early, that same day, I had an MRi scan on my spine (disc trouble & arthiritis), but was told it wasn't connected, just a very big coincidence.
