I had pericarditis and an effusion in December , latest echo scan showed that all the fluid has reabsorbed , no evidence of any scarring , really pleased . I get pain by my ribs on both sides, when I lean forward it’s like there’s something pressing on the inside . I have no idea what is causing the pain, cardiologist says everything looks ok. I’m still on colchicine for another 2 months until I see the cardiologist again .

Speedy recovery. The pain you get from this problem is all the time or only at certain positions? Any trigger?
It starts as soon as I’ve been up and moving around for an hour or so , it’s there in and off through the day, as I mentioned if I lean forward it’s much worse , I was out shopping last week and as the bag of shopping was a bit heavy I felt a really strong pulling pain on left side . I do try to avoid lifting anything too heavy.
