Those little side effects after heart surgery..... :)

Hello, it's been a while since I last posted. I'm recovering well from my mitral valve repair, getting on my wattbike and rower (under the supervision of my lovely NHS Physio).

I have two questions:

1. 'burping' - yes I know. I'd never had an issue with this before the above and I have to say it's getting less, but some days it's still really bad. I feel the pressure in my ribs, and once released, it's fine. But really, burping like a sailor isn't pleasant.

2. dull pain in my ribs, again something that's getting less and less, but after a day sitting at my PC working from home, my ribs are sensitive. I've even changed my bra to try to accommodate, but find a couple of paracetamols do the trick.

I know it takes about a year for everything to 'settle down' and hopefully I'll be back to normal come August. I'm interested to know if anyone else has found themselves with the above side effects and what, if anything, you did to improve them?

:)
