Post Stent & Tricagrelor Rash

Had stent in December last year and started on Tricagrelor. Soon after started with a rash on face and trunk which does not clear up - GP referred me to Dermatology but waiting for appt. Anyone else suffered similar?

What's the rash likeI had syents and my skin on face comes out like small blisters then clears up and comes back pharmacist says its ticagrelor. I am due to stop them when year is up in july so hope it clears up

Long wait for dermatology maybe ask gor something like dermol cream

Well I never, I too had some marks on my forehead, almost blister like which I actually put down to sunburn last year! This makes sense that it was the tricagrelor, I stopped taking mine in August last year and the rash has indeed cleared up! Good luck 👍

Skin rash is listed as a common side effect of Ticagrelor, maybe ask GP if you can have an alternative.

Hi. I had stents fitted in October 2020. Started on ticagelor, developed a rash, they gave me prasugrel, my rash significantly increased over most of my body. They stopped that drug and loaded me with various other drugs to lessen the rash and sent me home with E45 cream and strong Antihistamines. The rash resolved over 5 days or so but was intensely irritable. Good luck with your appointments.
