I had a tissue aortic valve replacement in 2014 in Newcastle, but today I got a letter from the prof who did the operations team to say there's been a medical alert relating to the type of aortic valve I had. They suggest I need extra reviews by the local cardiologist but I was'nt having any at all. I'm so worried has anyone else had this letter

Do you have the details of the Valve you have? This is very scary for you to receive- I hope you get the monitoring you need.
Best wishes
What type of tissue valve did you have?
Hi Sherob, That must be so scary! I suggest that you get in touch with your GP and make sure that they get a copy of your letter. They can then refer you to the right person. It may be a very small percentage that have had problems but they are very proactive in making sure that everyone is followed up.
Thanks everyone for your comments it was a bovine heart valve that's all I know.
