Hi I have been having chest pains for about 2 months each day up to 4 times a day, kind people on here advised me to get some tests, some i've had and i am waiting for more next week. The thing is i was rushed to hospital friday evening with chest pains which lasted over an hour, all they said was it wasn't a heart attack after an ecg bloods and chest xray, I am just wondering if it sounds like unstable angina(can happen even at rest) so i can mention it to the doctors next week

thanks in advance

Hello poet68

The BHF has this information about angina.

bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...

' unstable angina ' is sometimes called acute coronary syndrome by healthcare professionals.

It tends to mean increasing episodes crescendo angina lasting for longer not relieved by GTN or rest.

I suggest you keep a diary of your symptoms, describe the frequency , length and severity of your symptoms.

The time of day at rest or after exercise.

Were there any triggers, exercise, cold or stress.

Discuss this diary with the Cardiologist at your next visit.
