Hi ,

I'm 6 years on from mechanical, AVR,

Everything is going fine ,(touch wood) however ,on Tuesday morning ,I was taken to hospital, after suffering a fit, in my sleep,

I'm now waiting for a referal to an epilepsy clinic! Never rains eh?!

Was wondering if anyone else has experience of heart troubles linked to epilepsy.

( I'm 63 BTW)

Cheers

Paul.

Google (epilepsy and cardiology Dr Amir Zaidi).I found the link a couple of years ago and it, (page after page), makes great reading.

With cardiac problems I would ask for a tilt test to be completed especially if you do not respond to medication for epilepsy.

My uncle has epilepsy, and he has seizures every few months. He said that he had arrhythmia after attacks. Soon he'll go to the hospital to see a neurosurgeon in Chennai neurosurgeonchennai.com, and we hope that he'll help him. My uncle helped my brother and me for many years after our father's death, and he has no children of his own due to illness. He paid for our school, helped my mother support two children, and helped with college. So now both my brother and I are already working, and I came to help my uncle, and we paid for his treatment in the clinic.
