Hey I was at A&E this week after repeated episodes of chest pain that feels like it’s being crushed ,?breathlessness, nausea that’s been happening since September, I spoke with doctors they thought was indigestion , but it’s just got a daily occurrence , now my blood test was normal , resting ecg was normal as was exercise ecg , they have referred me for a scan as symptoms point towards angina but I’m 39 years old , good health, not diabetic , I’ve also noticed I get breathless and chest pain at rest and when bending down to do my laces , anyone else in similar situation? Or ideas of other conditions it might be thank you ❤️

Angina
Hello Huxtaboo
Welcome to the forum.
The BHF has this information about angina.
bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...
Angina is usually caused by coronary artery disease CAD when there is permanent narrowing of the large coronary arteries.
A less common type non obstructive coronary artery disease NOCAD is caused by problems with the very small blood vessels not working properly Microvascular dysfunction.
Then there is vasospastic angina when the large coronary arteries constrict and narrow in temporary vasospasms.
Microvascular dysfunction causing Microvascular angina is more common in younger women. Women who have an early Menopause or a hysterectomy can be effected by Microvascular angina too.
I hope you don't have to wait too long for your tests.
In the meantime has your GP given you any treatment such as a GTN spray ( this relaxes your blood vessels and helps relieve the angina symptoms) ?
Perhaps give the BHF helpline a call and speak to one of the Cardiac nurses too?
I don't get bad pain but only a medium pain of 5 on the scale when I have a missed or extra beat.Whenever I do my laces I get breathless and the ectopics start. It also feels like a hand squeezing my heart closed.
This seems to be getting worse daily. I am getting rather worried now as the hospital here is over full.
