So I’m just trying to find out some more about PoTS to potentially take to my GP.
Ive been having an increase in heart rate and palpitations from doing nothing more than standing up. I get a fast rate when I go for a warm/hot shower and doing chores around the house like leaning forward and scrubbing.
Still awaiting my cardiac monitor but I’m on Bisoprolol, started decaf tea, cut out alcohol...sleep is a little difficult as i do shifts and my room isn’t exactly situated in the best place.

I have had POTS for several years it’s when you stand up or get up from lying down, you go dizzy and your heart beat goes well over 100 and sometimes your blood pressure also drops until your body stabilised. I usually sit on the end of the bed or chair for a few seconds then get up very slowly holding on to something until the dizziness and raised heartbeat calms down.
I am also wondering if I have pots and also waiting for a 24hr ECG. My main bothersome symptom is I feel very fuzzy if I stand particularly after bending down to do something and I've definitely noted my HR increasing but through testing it all the time it increases anxiety which doesn't help as can't tell what's what. Have you checked your BP? I haven't had a postural drop but for some that can cause your HR to go up and other symptoms.
If I have to do lots of bending like picking things up etc I feel bad. legs can feel like jelly.
hi I have POTS and I have those symptoms as well my GP sent me to a specialist and I was able to get the heart monitor and blood pressure cuff that way. A LOT of salt and water sometimes helps me I also try to avoid heat as much as possible
