Scary pulse!!!! 😬

β€’8 Replies

Hello everyone. hope everyone is ok. I am very worried about my heart rate πŸ˜’ when I lie everything is ok, but only when I get out of bed it rises to 120-130 bmp and more! yesterday I had a maximum of 159bmp in day time! I'm afraid! what do you think is a normal heart rate while walking? as long as I make tea, or bushing my teeth it rises up to 135-143 bmp😬 I start to be afraid to move and even eat. because after a meal yesterday about 2 hours keep going over 100bpm and i feel it. i use propranolol only 5mg a day i can't take more because my heart rate sometimes drops suddenly even to 40bpm .gp doesn't really help. I am waiting for 72 hours of ecg since June. Thanks. Have a nice day!!! 🌻

Oh you poor thing. ☹I have sinus tachycardia and im on bisoprolol which does help. Your heart rate will with movement.

I did an exercise treadmill test 2 weeks ago and the consultant said at one point it went to 200 bpm!! He said mine ranges between 60-140bpm which was my normal range.

I too still get a bit of a racing heart even though i take tablets for it.

My fitbit recorded 159bpm at midnight one day last week. I was asleep in bed so must of been a good dream 🀣🀣🀣

Check in with your gp if its making you feel bad, get them to refer you if they haven't already.

Try not to panic it makes it worse.

I find deep breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth when its happening, try and focus on something else when your breathing.

Do you suffer with anxiety at all?

Thanks for your replay 🌻 ohh dear you had a good dream then πŸ™ˆπŸ˜

I have said many times for my GPS but one answered that it is normal for others to have this pulse , the other told me to wait for 72 ECGs. 4 weeks ago I was very dizzy, it was hard to even go to my son's school, I call to gp 2 times, but they say that they did not know how to help me and told me to wait 72 ecg again. truth be told i often feel anxious when i feel bad, if everything is ok for me i don't have any anxiety. sorry for my late reply, today was a shopping day with my two boys, thank god i didn't have time to pay attention to the pulse but there were uprisings too up to 135 bpm and now sitting heart beating 95 bpm. Before I didn't have such a big pulse in the resting state. need to go drink melissa with hawthorn fruit tea, maybe it will help 🀞😁

i haven't done any research apart from ecg and blood test and have been complaining about this problem for about 4 years and it's only getting worse. I wonder what other tests I could ask for? stress test? πŸ€”

Take care 🌻

Im assuming your waiting for a 72 hour ecg. If so then they will probably look at that and if they feel you need futher tests then they may have do the stress test. This is where they have you walk/jog on a treadmill. The aim is to try and reach your target heart rate. You will be connected to an ecg when they do this so they can have a look at what your heart is doing during moments of exercise. Your target heart rate is 220 - your age = target rate. You may be offered an echo scan. I dont know, this all depends of your hospital and what tests they think you may need. I had quite a few as i was taken by ambulance last year to hospital when i was pregnant and spent a week on a Cardiac ward before being given bisoprolol which does help with the fast heart rate for me. The tests ive had this last month couldnt be done during pregnancy such as the MRI scan last week and the stress test 3 weeks ago.

I was asking about anxiety only because if they find nothing wrong with your heart sometimes it can be linked to anxiety.

Your anxious because your aware your heart is beating fast and your heart is beating fast because you are anxious.

Its a vicious cycle πŸ€”πŸ€”

How are you doing now?

Hi😊 im now better thank you 😊i got the app to talk to gp on monday because all morning i kept my heart rate over 100. if i only moved the heart rate would go up to 120-140, there were also uprisings up to 160 bpm. i got a call from gp only at 6pm. after explaining what was going on with me she told me to call ambulance and they would take me to the hospital (because of a big heartbeat all day, vomiting). i was in the hospital only at about 12 pm. after the hospital doctor did some tests he decided what I might have POTS and told me I would stay in the hospital for another tests. however, after shift change in morning, another doctor prescribed me bisoprolol 1.25mg and let me go home wait app for the future tests. On Thursday i had as well episode of big tachicardia (160bpm) had to call ambulance.. πŸ˜’ i nealy fainted.. they did ecg but as i was in hospital not long time ago and explained for then all situation, they contacted gp.. no im not bad, after that days my highest pulse was just JUST 135 and every day its going better πŸ€— i hope what after some other test they will find out what is going on and im will be ok πŸ€—

I spent 11 hours in the hospital on a chair and it was the best time I spent in the hospital because finally someone moved after so much time searching 😊

The same thing happened to me Im in my 3rd month recovery. Im much better now I never had any of that before Im not sure if you can see my story on other peoples posts but know that other people have experienced the same. I elected to not take any medications because they all have side effects and I gradually got better. It wasnt easy Ive basically had 3 months of rest. Some say it took them 4 months to be completely healed
