Hi all, did anyone get groin pain several months after an angiogram?
Angiogram : Hi all, did anyone get... - British Heart Fou...
Angiogram
Oh yes! Discomfort when walking for ages. Cardiologist said it was probably due to bad internal bruising. Hopefully, your pain is gradually improving but, if concerned, don’t hesitate to get it checked.
I had my angiogram done though the right wrist
I had pain afterwards around the top of my right leg and had trouble walking. Was told it might have been due to damage to the femoral artery during the procedure as it was carried out as an emergency. Was very worried at the time but it did ease off and eventually disappear after about six months.
Hi GuysI had a swelling the size of a medium egg at the entry site. Went to get it checked out at the hospital and they scanned it to reassure me that it was bruising and a hematoma and sometimes happens. At the time it felt like the surgeon was cleaning a chimney. Mucho bruising and walking like a zombie for a few days. All good though.
Hi, exactly the same. Goes away in time, but keep an eye on it.
How much time ? I had the angiogram in early September, now I'm getting bad pain again. Feels muscular, no external bruising thankfully, then I would be worried.
I've no idea now, it was two years ago, but I remember it being at least a couple of months. Just be careful if you have accidentally banged it on something, did you have a angioseal? some info here alvinalexander.com/personal... HTH
Hi I hope you are feeling a bit better, I had an angiogram in June this year and had a lot of problems I could hardly walk after the first week had to go to the hospital at docs advice i had an ultra sound it showed i had an in infection at the entry site was given heavy dose of antibiotics for 14 days it eased off a little but i found that if i walked to far the pain started again doing what i thought was small tasks would make it start again it is now 7 months on and it still gives me pain every now and then if i lift or walk up a steep hill the consultant said it is most likely nerve damage and can take a long time to recover.I would advise you to have it checked if you still have pain as you could have an infection its better to be safe.
Everything takes time wish you well
Hi, I had a angiogram last August a few days before my triple bypass!!!! I had it done through my right wrist.I had NO pain relief whatsoever so when she went into my wrist you could have peeled me off the ceiling. Then they kept telling me to keep still!!!!
The most painful part of the whole process.
Still, I’m here to tell the tale so I’m happy( 6 months later).
