Your heart rate is suppose to go up while going #2. Mine goes up after i eat especially when I’m working. After several complaints to my doctor he put me on metoprolol, never does it while im at his office, slightly high blood pressure. But baaaad health anxiety last 4 years. 46 male
Tamuiel Hi
Sorry you're having a bad time, health anxiety is just awful. Yes I know it's supposed to go up but probably not to 165 bpm
Hi Sassical,
Do you feel shaky, hot or cold sweat, clammy, sick, faint, palpitations....?
We've spoken before and I still get the same. Before all my anxiety started 5 years ago, I would be like anyone else, feel the need to go, go and feel better afterwards as you've emptied your tummy.
This that I feel now I still just put down to my anxiety. Easy to say I know, but as I sit here typing to you now I have Jyst taken an anti nausea pill as my tummy is starting to feel movement and I am beginning to panic about the feelings.
I don't know the answer, bIm hoping as time goes on it will fade.
At the same time I suffer badly with aching muscles in my neck, shoulders, back even down my arms, I am so tense, I don't suppose this is helping my body. Also I clench my jaw most of the time, and if you research that it says it can cause gastric problems.
Please pm me if you want to chat more, I know it's horrible and frightening. xx
I have the same and have every one of my medications change incase that is the cause. In my case I have diarrhoea at least six times a day, preceded by palpitations.. sometimes it happens through the night.
I’ve read up on the vagus nerve as I think there may be a coronary/digestive link there
I don't get tachycardia but I reckon there's a definite link between bowels and heart. It doesn't happen all the time but my heart can go a bit arrythmic. I'm interested in the vagus nerve idea.
Yes, straining is a vagal manoeuvre. Check Dr Sanjay Gupta's Youtube videos re vagal stuff
