i have suffered from pvcs for 4 years now, over the past 2 years they have gotten worse and i have weeks where i am in constant bigeminy. I also noticed that if i bend down, or stand up too quick, my heart does about 3-5 really hard slow beats that cause a rush feeling through my head? does anything know what this is?

Hi,

I’m a 24 year old female & I’ve been going through the same thing for 10 months now everyday nonstop. Some days the PVCs are lighter but on a bad day I get run on of 5-6 skips every minute. Yesterday was absolutely horrible! They wouldn’t stop but once I went to sleep I didn’t notice them anymore...I do believe that my period triggers the PVCs because of my hormones. I’ve been to three different Cardiologist...I’ve done every test, had blood work done numerous of times and everything comes out normal. I have severe anxiety and stress a lot so I do believe that Is the root as to why these horrible things continue...When I feel my anxiety flare up I take a hot shower, rub lavender on me and take a few drops of my CBD oil. It helps to calm my mind down and relax my body....I literally fear these skips because I’m scared I might die from them or when the skips become so constant I fear I may have a heart attack or stroke and that makes matters worse. My doctor put me on a beta blocker of Atenolol 25Mg but I have boarder line low BP so I don’t take it as often as I want too because it would make my BP drop even more. I told my Cardiologist about the head rush too but she told me to relax and eventually the will calm down. I really hope so because I’m so miserable but when I read articles of people whose dealt with these annoying things for 20+ years, even had kids with them It brings me so much relief. Hang In there Girl! We’ll get through It.

Wow your story is the same as mine. All started on the 4th May this year when I woke up with tachycardia and missed beats and the ectopic beats have stayed. I take 1.25mg bisoprolol 2 x a day and it def helps but like you the week before my period the palpitations get really bad. The GP doesn’t seem to think that hormones can cause an issue but I have tracked the episodes since May and I have maybe 5 a day for 3 weeks then for a week I get them every 10 mins all day and night then as soon as my period starts they calm down again. I’m still waiting further monitoring as the 24 hr tape showed multiple ectopic episodes but they hoped they would settle and they haven’t so who knows what’s next. But they are soooo annoying especially when I have my 2 kids to keep busy. Fingers crossed we can all get answers. X
