Aortic stenosis

Hi all. I'm new to this forum. I was diagnosed with mild aortic stenosis and left ventricular hypertrophy about 3 years. I've had no follow up with this but all this week I've been getting flutters, chest pain, tiredness and sometimes tight chested. My problem is, I don't know whether to call NHS 111 as I don't want to waste their time. Being a former NHS administrator I appreciate how valuable their time is. What should I do? It could be a chest infection or it could be a worsening of my condition. I've been fine up until this week yesterday being my worst day. Many thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the forum! You should ring 111 now as you have unexplained symptoms which may be a sign of something potentially serious. Have you had any follow up since diagnosis. In three years mild stenosis could have progressed from mild to moderate or even severe.

Please let us know how you get on...

Hello Michael. Thank you so much for getting back to me. No, I haven't had any follow up whatsoever. Just the same for my fibromyalgia. It wasn't my GP who told me I had it. It was on an assessment with another doctor who saw it in a letter to my GP from a consultant. I'm just worried that I'll be wasting their time.

Hello Michael. Thank for replying back. I did call NHS 111. Had an ECG, bloods and an x-ray. Everything came back as normal. Apparently it's one of the symptoms of my fibromyalgia.

If you have a change in symptoms you are never wasting their time by ringing them.

Get seen, hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for answering my message. I did call NHS 111. I had an ECG, Xray and bloods and they all came back clear. They put it down to my fibromyalgia. Mind I'm still symptomatic.
