What does this diagnosis mean? What should I do to help myself.

I’m new to this site. After an ECG and an electrocardiograph I have been diagnosed with moderate LV dilation when indexed to body surface area. Mild LV systolic dysfunction. Mildly calcification aortic with reduced mobility. Mild aortic stenosis.

I’m taking 1.25 mg of Bisorolol. I think the fatigue, nausea and general debility is a result of this or perhaps it is the condition.

I would be interested and helped by anyone who has a similar diagnoses. This situation has developed over one month and I cannot get much information. G P hasn’t seen me and is not available. Cardiology Dept. reluctant to discuss.

Of course none of us here are qualified we only reflect our experiences. Bisoprolol causes many people difficulties and if you search for a thread you will be able to read how people dealt with the drug. It takes time to adjust and some never do. The BHF itself publishes many free sheets with advise. There are also experienced nurses who you can chat to and can allay anxieties. It is not acceptable that the cardiologist does not review your results. You must insist. Contact the secretary to the named cardiologist on the result and ask for an appointment (might have to be on the phone). Similarly the GP must talk to you so persevere. When you do get an appointment we would all advise you to write down the questions beforehand and work through them. Noting the answers . You are at the start of a process and sometimes we all need to push it along. Good luck.
