Dr doesn’t know about heart ‘things’

!!!!!! Haven’t had a heart attack which is brilliant.

He said, If I want to get myself any further, he told me to ring my consultants secretary as he’s doesn’t know about heart conditions !!!!!!! What’s the point, suppose it was an evening out, not very exciting but saw the city lights from hospital window for a bit 🙄

What’s a Norfolk girl to worry about 😃

Hi Fluffybee,

Sounds like you’ve had an awful time of it again...it’s so frustrating when nothing can be done because they don’t understand your condition. Did they give you morphine at least?

I think you need to call your consultants secretary and lay it on thick about how this is affecting your life (which will be the truth), and keep calling if you don’t get a response! Even if he can’t see you because of Covid he should be able to call you and prescribe different drugs (if anything a phone call is easier!!), as you obviously desperately need something changed!

Good luck, and I really hope that this gets under control for you soon...

Thank you for messaging, no I didn’t have anything apart from paracetamol tablets, I told him I was still in pain when he discharged me, my troponin level bc was fine but don’t know what that was.

I felt like I’ve wasted everyone’s time and NHS money, my GP called the ambulance while I was there.

Again no one was familiar with micro vascular angina or coronary artery spasms etc my heart isn’t functioning or squeezing properly from the bottom.

It will get sorted at some point, still got pain today but not as severe. Hope you’re ok 😃

Paracetamol?!? That won’t even touch it, what are they thinking ??

You haven’t wasted anyone’s time, and in any case your doctor called the ambulance.

The last time you spoke to your consultant did you talk about your heart not squeezing properly? Are you going to have another scan? It’s appalling you’re left hanging with it affecting your life so badly!

I hope you can rest today and try and recover a bit...good luck!

Hi Fluffybee, sorry to hear you have not been too good again, maybe you could ask your cardiac consultant if he could put you in touch with a doctor who might be familiar with your problems. The Covid 19 bug is stopping everyone from seeing a doctor when they need to, I have so many questions to ask about my condition but really need a face to face conversation, and there are many more like me. I do hope you get some answers and some relief from your problems and worries soon. Please take care and keep safe. Ruth

So sorry to read your post this morning hope you’re feeling a little better by now. You are really being put through the wringer, sometimes it feels as if life keeps kicking us in the teeth.

Hope you can get to speak to your consultant soon.

Best wishes Pauline

Yes just paracetamol 🙄

I said to several medical staff that I’m in pain. Said they would sort something out then saw them sorting another patient out. I know they’re run off their feet but thought one person at some point during the hours I was in there.

Apart from my own consultant who told me that via an ultrasound, I haven’t spoken to anyone who’s familiar with the condition had a Dr who asked me questions who said he’s going to pass the information on to the cardiologist, I’ve said how worried I am especially as I’ve got a strong close family history of heart problems and and dying very young.

I’m going to ring the secretary with a bit of umph and see where that gets me. 🙄

Yell, scream, shout and keep ringing the secretary.

Unfortunately it seems these days that those who shout the loudest get the action.

All this takes it out of you so curl up with your faithful furry friend and try to rest.
