Coming off Apixaban

Hello

I had an AFib episode at the end of February this year that took me to AE and lasted about 6 hrs.

Consultant asked me to take blood thinners for 4 months and I am due to come off them this week.

Do I just stop taking them? Or should I ween down over a few days? The instruction came in a letter so there was no guide to follow?

He said that if I go into AFib again I should take them as soon as I notice ..

Thank you

Hi, was just told yesterday to stop taking apixaban by cardiologist, like you, AF episodes not frequent enough to warrant staying on apixaban. Did you have any problems? Should I reduce dose? Or stop abruptly?
