Thanks for all the comments folks I've seen my GP now & been checked out & she is happy with the way the wound is healing. Apparently I have got a very narrow cephalic vein whatever that is? & they had to make 2 extra puncture's in order to insert the wires which caused more bruising than is normal.

Hi merlin, I'm pleased to hear the doc doesn't think there's anything to worry about. When we leave hospital, none of us really has any idea how quickly we're supposed to heal and what aches and pains we're going to get
