I'm sure your employer knows better than the Who... Not! Personally I think some employers are really showing how poor they are during this.

I'm not sure if it's got as far as being listed as a condition that makes one susceptible, but I think there's building evidence that it doesn't help. Anecdotally, think there's a correlation between common high blood pressure in China & the complications rate there.

Personally I'd err on the side of caution, and if your employer isn't convinced by the listings, maybe get telephone advice from a cardio doc, about whether you can be at work or not. Take care
