Husband had a heart attack 4 years ago only 80% of his heart works, also angina and type 2 diabetic very well in himself and pops a lot of pills. He works full time driving delivering goods he is concerned about what's going on at the moment obviously but doesn't know what to do whether to carry on working or to socially isolate himself. I know he says his health is very important but so is keeping a roof over our heads. Please help where do we turn at this difficult time we are all experiencing

Hello and welcome to the forum! Having had a heart attack and having angina your husband obviously has cardiovascular disease. This makes his health slightly more fragile. Unfortunately with diabetes (I am Type I) infections often get hold more rapidly as BGs often become erratic. So yes, I would say your husband needs to socially isolate. The BHF have an information page on heart disease and Coronavirus here:

You can also ring the BHF nurses for more information. The Heart Helpline is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The number to call is 0300 330 3311. You can also email them at hearthelpline@bhf.org.uk
