Pitting test

Hope someone can help I have a few fractures of my spine but found out last week I have fractured my L1 I have heart failure and need to do the pitting test in my feet and ankles but cant bend down because of the pain does anyone know how I could do it hopefully without having more pain I already in

I would just hold a wooden spoon upside down or maybe the blunt end of a knitting needle.

Thank you will try that even trying to move let alone doing the pitting test is agony
