I have Svt and have now been diagnosed with heart block, apart from the Svt episodes I have been feeling tired, dizzy, weak and had a few episodes where I,ve nearly passed out, I am on the list for ablation. I had a scan on my mitral valve a few days ago and awaiting results. I am taking low dose of Bisoprolol which drops my heartbeat down to 52 and blood pressure 92 over 54, I think Bisoprolol is the cause but I do find I get a heavy feeling in my chest and the dizzy weakness comes when my blood pressure is low. Should I be taking Bisoprolol if I have heart block? I don,t have contact with my electrophysiologist and it takes so long to get any appointments. I wouldn,t stop Bisoprolol suddenly because I,ve been on it on and off for 3 years.

Svt and heart block
Hi delnoeen have you seeing if you can get appointment on line see if your practice has if so you should be able to if
You try by 8am if you not sure see if you have a PPG and
Ask them you should also have HF nurse who should be able to help you.
Good luck
Thanks for your reply! 3 weeks wait to get an appointment with my doctor and impossible to get through in the morning. GPS do not seem to know the answer and will not go against the specialist I found. I have been feeling unwell for a long time and always put it down to my age 72 or stress with my move. I refused the ablation because I was moving but realise I have to have it and am on the list. I will try to phone the electrophysiologist secretary.
I didn't get on with bisprolol at all made me feel worse ask to be changed to propranolol x
Bisoprolol does make me feel unwell. I think it could be one of many things. I just been to the shops and had one of my nearly passing out moments, I was alarmed but finished what I wanted to do. Apart from aches and pains I,m active.
