Morning Yasyass... In previous replies to your queries I have outlined the reasons for differences between an echocardiogram and a MRI scan. Subsequently I outlined the purpose of a nuclear stress scan that identifies if the issue is the blood supply to an area of the heart muscle or the muscle area itself. The risks are minimal. As you are worried and cannot keep off Dr Google I recommend you go ahead with the test or you will not get an answer either way.

Chill and enjoy the weekend! 😎

Thanks Michael just hope Tests show positive results and can be treated with medications and lifestyle

i had an echo about 2 years ago.. received a letter stating ‘everything ok moreorless’.. saw Cardiologist 5 weeks ago and during the consultation he said the results‘weren’t very clear’.. having an angiogram in the next few months.. Consultant said that should hopefully show a clearer picture of any problems related to my ongoing condition

Hi Yasyass, I've had all three tests, echo, MRI and nuclear medicine test. Your consultant wouldn't recommend the test if she/he thought the risks outweighed the benefits. By having the test your consultant has the best possible information to inform your ongoing treatment is the way I'd look at it.

Hi Yass

You are following a well trodden route which a fair few of us have followed, It is pretty standard procedure to follow the route you are on, just stay on the path and all will be well honest !!

I have been in your situation, had all the tests including angioplasty and then even had to go out of my county to get another mri on a ‘better’ machine. All necessary for a proper diagnosis. My heart was found to be too bad for a by-pass so stayed on my previous medication and in 2018 I had an ICD fitted which has changed my life for the better. So go ahead, you need answers too, and then you will at least be armed with knowledge and can better participate with your future therapy. Hope all goes well, good luck.

Yes, unfortunately 4 heart attacks, the last one leading to all the tests. I am quite active now, I think I impressed the Cardiologist back in 2018 when I told him that I managed to walk my dogs every day and that I lived life to the full as much as I could. He phoned me a few weeks later and told me that he was putting me forward for the implant which would help me lead an even better life. I cycle again now (electric) and swim too, I do get days where I can’t do much, mostly because I try to do too much in one day quite often. Keep positive, and I hope it all works out for you. By the way I was only 51 when I had the first ha, am now 60 and feeling good even with the chef.
