Graft repaired

Thanks to everyone for your support and advice.

My husband was found to have one failed graft and some calcium build up in his arteries. The surgeon said they were reluctant to insert stents in formerly repaired grafts but he said he'd give it a try.

He enlarged the artery with a balloon as much as possible and inserted a stent.

We are both now anxious to avoid any further problems so would be grateful for advice on going forward.

Hi 1AnneMcC. Hope you’re husband is feeling OK. My advice is to take it easy, exercise a little every day, do cardio rehab if it’s on offer (it’s great), eat sensibly (Mediterranean in my opinion), lose weight, take the meds, stop smoking if he does, don’t stress and enjoy life. Wishing you and your husband all the best.
