Hi Brian I changed to a cheins chemist and they are good the only problem I have is because since finding out I have heart failure I take a lot more tablets so have them in blister packs and they dont do the blister packs on the premises so they place that do them do them 3 weeks before my tablets are due and if I have had a dose increase like I do get with my ramipril the increase isn't in so it's a bit of messing about but other then that their good but i think boots are in the wrong saying prescription charge and not delivery charge

If i lived close enough i would help out and pick them up for you. I am in North Midlands. Its expensive if you have to pay delivery every month. And sadly Neighbours are not always as friendly and helpful like they used to be. Hope you get something sorted. Brian

Its nice enough of you to even offer I do have a couple of good neighbours but I try not to ask for help because I was in a bad marriage and my children only think about themselves I had to ask him for everything so I feel I must do everything without asking for help I think I dont wont to ask for help people say it's not wrong to ask for help but in my case it seems wrong but at least I'm not paying boots

Look after yourself. Early action helps with C.o.p.D. I have it as well. But coping ok so far. Just have a coughing fit in a morning when i wake up. Seem to be ok, once i have had a hot drink. Just ask your kids to treat you with respect. They sadly have learnt from your ex. Hope you have a good day

Lloyds introduced delivery charges some months ago. I use neither as I have had issues with both.

Part of the problem is you need a van and driver to deliver that come with additional overheads. Another problem is that people who are capable of collecting their own make use of this service. I know someone who makes use of delivery yet goes to a gym a few hundred yards away.

Yes agreed.

My chemist quite frequently is short when I get my 28 days supply. When I first started gong there, they'd used to say - oh sorry we're short of XXX, we're expecting a supply on Tuesday, we can deliver it to, and I used to reply, Thanks but I can always walk up here next week and pick it up. Now they no longer ask if they can deliver.

As you say there are overheads with van and driver, and the service should only be used by people who can't easily get to the chemist, those of us lucky enough to be able to get around should collect our own

The driver also needs a fairly clean licence (minor speeding only) and needs to pass enhanced DBS (disclosure and barring service) as they will be dealing with some vulnerable people and carrying some powerful drugs. It is not that easy for small independents!

Be careful because they must have found out that you have your medication delivered so why couldnt they politely knocked and talk to you if you ring them dont even say your name if they say it ask how did they find out your name you can't be to careful
