I’m trying. Vegan diet after watching a documentary about diet and performance which featured Arnold Swartznager? It included a section on heart heath. Reducing salt will help a lot and also unhealthy fats and sugar.

I would think that your diet is already pretty good.

I was told to cut out salt altogether when I was first diagnosed but quickly told to add it back when my salt levels went too low. I can’t find a download of the book I was given but there is this one

I find a lot of it is basic good advice - fresh fruit and veg, cut out the rubbish, add a few nuts and be careful with salt. Low fat where possible, so I dry fry or add a tiny bit of water to onions and garlic if I’m frying those to make a tomato base / mince / stew.

Hope this helps. Fiona
