Leg pain

As I mentioned I have just been diagnosed with ectopic heartbeat and unstable Angina , I think I was in shock when the doctor told me and forgot to mention that I get terrible pain in my legs , especially on an evening/ night time . I had been blaming it on my fibromyalgia, but as my angina is inherited my aunty thinks it is more likely to be PAD ? Now that we know I have angina . It is so painful, more so when legs up on a footstool and when in bed . Any advice please ?

I am sorry to hear of your heart issues and the fibromyalgia.

No-one here can diagnose any condition and I would say go back to your Dr. PAD is a serious diagnosis and you will need to understand how you can best look

after yourself and what drugs you may need to take.

If it is PAD your leg may be hurting because the arteries supplying your calf muscles are narrowed and they aren’t supplying enough oxygen. If you drop your foot out of bed you may find the pain will go.

But if you are having pain at rest it is vital to go back to your GP ASAP to get a diagnosis.

Take care and come back here to let us know.
