Help with diagnosis!

I had two stents placed in 2017 which was quite a shock to me as I did not realise that there was anything wrong with the old ticker, had some discomfort in the chest but just got on with it anyway since then it was ok at first but then I have bad dizzy spells breathlessness and bad fatigue, some days don't feel that I can do anything at all but have to push yourself as your family relies on you.

I have just been and had another angiogram to make sure everything is ok with the stents which it is, I also had an echo which says that I have ' mild systolic impairment due to basal to mid inferior hypo/akinesis with no valve abnormalities ' could someone please help me and tell me what this means as we did not see the Dr before we left hospital and nobody explained anything to me !

Thank you

Hello and welcome to the forum! The comment doesn't add up to me but then I am not medically qualified. I agree totally with the suggestion to ring the BHF nurses...

I have 2 stents and had some myocardial stunning in the left ventricular wall on echo caused by ischemia in the areas of my 80 and 90% blockages. My ejection fraction was 46% ( normal >55%) It was described to me as the ventrical muscle wall being a little floppy in these areas but my cardiologist was not concerned. Mild hypo/akinesis sounds like something similar. I don't have any problems with breathlessness or fatigue so can't say if your symptoms are related to this. Hopefully you will have answers soon.
