Brugada phsycological after effects

Been home a week now and physically healing well. Physiologically not good. Very up and down, tearful and anxious. And thats at best. Struggling with being on my own and frightened. Ive booked an appointment at my drs this morning to ask for help but there are waiting lists. Does anyone have any advice on makong this easier to bear?

Hi Liece........I just joined this group today. I only came out last week too. All I can say is that I am in exactly the same place as you. I've had some crazy highs "I'm alive/grateful etc" but then I get the smallest twinge and I'm in depression. This is from a guy who used to pride himself on never being down. It's more of a drowning feeling for me than any specific thought process.

It's helping me a bit reading these pages to know it's normal and I'm, not the only one going through it. That said, it's not fixing it.....

One thing I am finding that is helping is meditation....once again, this is totally new to me and I've only been doing for a week but a friend suggests this app Sam Harris Waking up"...right now I'll give anything a crack.

PS: my dreams suck as well and are not helping one bit.

Hello Liece. This is normal to feel like this. Your cardiac rehabilitation team will be able to help. Take it a step at a time and you’ll get there. I had my heart attack in February and was knocked for six. I was Mrs Tearful 😢 one day and Mrs Angry 😤 the next. I still fluctuate with the anger. I’ve become less tolerant at times much to my family’s annoyance. I was referred to a Clinical Psychologist by the cardiac rehab team and found it very beneficial but this site has helped me a lot.
