Fluid Retention - Weather related?

My husband has cardiomyopathy. He weighs three times a week to keep an eye on fluid retention and has been stable for months. The last couple of weeks it’s been very up and down weight wise although fortunately he’s feeling fine. Heart nurse has advised to check daily and then we will update here Monday. Last two days was back to normal but today has gained 3lb once again. Any ideas please on what could be causing this ?

Both my husband and I have heart failure and we both are having problems with feet and ankles swelling over the last two weeks. Mine had done occasionally in the past but my husband's never! We lived in Ecuador and suffered with humid heat a lot and feel that's what we have been having recently. Not healthy weather!

Thanks so much for your reply. i am also thinking it’s the weather as was fine until the more humid days started. Weight has gone down again today, so will check again daily and see how it goes. Oddly he has no swelling of ankles and fortunately is feeling well.
