I would be interested in hearing from anyone taking 45 mg of Mirtazapine and their side effects.

Hi,

I take 45mg mirtazipine. Every day I feel groggy and hungover, it takes me the entirety of the next day for the feeling to pass. Then of course, it’s time for the next dose. I feel disconnected and disjointed, everything I do is rigid and awkward or at least my perception is, it’s hard to tell. I’ve gained weight, lots of weight. I’ve never sat and thought about eating an entire loaf of bread and a giant bowl of plain pasta with butter until now. I don’t cry as much, when I first started taking it I couldn’t cry at all, but now I can, just not often like before, which is good I guess. I get random eye twitches too. I stare into space a lot and not noticed time passing. Which I’m not comfortable with as I don’t realise I’m doing it until I “come around” not sure which term to use there.

Those are my side effects but the relief I feel every day is worth it all. I’d take it all any day to ensure I never felt the way I did before.

MY daily feelings are exactly the same as yours. I have decided to reduce to 15 mg 3 times a day in order to come off it and try something else. Hopefully will finally get the correct medication.
