Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm a 41 year old Male and had a heart attack in November '18. I was diagnosed with Angina and Ischemic Heart Disease and ended up having CABGx2.
6 Months later I'm still getting soreness and occasional pain in the chest area. It's all muscle/tendon based and paracetamol usually makes it bearable but it does cause me some anxiety, especially when I get the odd shooting pain!
I'm also getting a lot of shoulder stiffness and pain which is a frustration.
Is this something that I should speak with my GP about?
I guess I'm looking for reassurance that this is normal lol

It affects different people in different ways - for me it took over a year. Probably best to have a chat with your GP or Practice Nurse to put your mind at rest and/or check there is nothing untoward going on. Alternatively have a chat with the BHF Heart Helpline 0300 330 3311 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
Yeah, ended up popping into GP's yesterday afternoon, they did an ECG which showed as expected but referred me to hospital for bloods to be on the safe side. All came back ok so seems it's muscular/skeletal pains.
Did freak me out though as different pains from my usual (although nothing like the Heart attack!), glad I got it checked.
Thanks for the BHF helpline No., I'll save that for future!
