I had a bad cough for the past couple of days. Last night I hardly got any sleep.
So far I dont have fever, thankfully.
I am taking 15 mg of warfarin per day following my mitral valve replacement and I was wondering what medication I am allowed to take that doesn't interfere with warfarin.
I will try to go to boots later and ask a pharmacist but I just thought that maybe some of you on warfarin had already my same situation, and are able to share
Thank you

Thank you...I am drinking lots of warm water with ginger, lemon, honey and tiny bit of turmeric. I know that ginger and turmeric are not ideal with warfarin but it is working for now.
I personally think if we took notice of everything that contraindicated with Warfarin, wether drugs or food, we wouldn’t eat or drink anything.
I have an allergy to Paracetamol and can’t take it makes me really poorly. So I take ibuprofen if needed, like the time I tripped over my sons bag and did my Achilles heel in! Docs don’t like it but they haven’t advised any alternative.
You are absolutely right...I think what they are saying about food etc interacting with warfarin is just a guide line. I was avoiding broccoli and spinach at the beginning but made no difference.
Now I eat what I want and my INR seems doing much better. The only thing I experienced really effects my INR are antibiotics
