I wonder if anyone has had this problem with Entresto.
I starter on the lowest dose (24mg / 26mg) and all was well - really felt the benefit.
When I moved to the intermediate doze (49mg / 51mg) I had problems with my blood pressure dropping to quite low levels (75 / 42). Cardiac Nurse told me to revert to the lower dose until she can have my kidneys checked out.
I am hoping my body gets used to it but I wondered if anyone else had the same problem.
I had exactly the same reaction and was told by my Heart Failure nurse to go back to the lower dose, but at my cardiologist appointment a few weeks later she said to go back up again so I did so. That was a year ago and I’ve now been on the highest dose for ten months.
Very occasionally I get that weak, lightheaded feeling of low bp, but it passes.
Entresto's own information says this is quite common, and the advice is to reduce doses of diuretics / hypertensive drugs rather than the entresto. entrestohcp.com/managing-hy...
Mine did the same but settled down after my body got used to it. I’ve been kept on the middle dose as that’s enough for me. My heart condition has really improved after 7 months on it. Good luck 💕
Only been on Entresto for a few weeks lower dose, BP is variable 90/60 to 110/60 with a heart rate of 40/60 only problem is with dizzy spell when I stand up, otherwise going OK. Cardiologist on Tuesday so see how it's all going. I am thinking Heart Failure is a little improved Breathing slightly better, only downside is slightly more Shortness of breath on walking !!
