Ct scan

Hi it's been a while since I last posted , it was found back in October 2017 that I had a left side heart block , I've seen my cardiologist who wasn't worried at all as I show no symptoms other than boarder line blood pressure for which I'm on 1.25 ramipril. I have now had a letter for a Ct scan which has put me into a panic again , I'm terrified of what may be found , I shouldn't look but I googled things , all my other tests came back ok other than this block which she said I may have got when I had high blood pressure with my 1st pregnancy. My dad died in 2016 with heart related condition . I'm getting myself into a terrible mess

Try to stay calm, it can only be a good thing. If they find anything, it will be timely and you'll get treatment and be OK or they'll find nothing and you'll have a peace of mind. I had a CT scan and it saved my life.

Fist of all, stop worrying. It never solved anything.

I have been on a Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB) diet since March 2018 and the evidence of my blood pressure, cholesterol and pulse (50-60) indicate that my arteries are clearing. So, it took only 8 months. My doctor is gradually taking me off all the meds, the diuretics, beta blockers and statins have gone.

I recommend that you watch the film "Forks Over Knives". It will show you that you can clear out your arteries. It is on Netflix, YouTube and a website of the same name. It is about medical dietary research, including a massive study of 800,000 Chinese people. You might find it helpful, I did.

it is difficult for all of us on here and for anyone else out there, i am also facing a scan. MRI. this is only a week away. it is to see if i have suffered a slight stroke or to see if anything else is going on.

it is natural for all us to get nervous but for peace and mind it is best that we just follow the ride to the end.

at least for me it will get me away from the endless 4 walls i see day in day out and i am going up to the lakes where the hospital is based so will do me the world of good, having the scan could be the tricky part although harmless one part could induce my symptoms, that is the only worry for me.

i wish you all the best and hope everything is fine for you.

It is a positive thing that you are in the system and being followed up. It is always anxious making though, so don't think you are over reacting.

I had a CT in December, saw my cardiologist two weeks ago and was reassured by the knowledge she obtained from the scan (all on screen too so I could see). Hope things go well for you
