Noncompaction cardiomyopathy

Have just found this forum and am so pleased to read all the positive comments regarding this condition. I was diagnosed a year ago and understand my condition of noncompaction is very rare and was just wondering if anyone else has this diagnoses.I was critical I'll this time last year and my only chance of survival was a lvad until a heart transplant was available but I did defy all the odds and now live a relatively good life on medication.I have stayed positive throughout which I believe has contributed to my well being.I was a very fit active non smoking person so this came as a dreadful shock,,I'm doing all that is asked of me and am progressing slowly but surely. So I must agree with other people on this site it is not a death sentence,a bit of a life changer which you can still go on to enjoy your life.
