Hi, I have mild to moderate systolic dysfunction, bicuspid aortic valve and mildly dilated ascending aorta, I'm 52 years old and earlier this year started cycling on the flatter routes around home, it was going all OK until about 3 weeks ago when I felt I Just didn't have it in me to do what I had been doing and getting more short of breath, I would say about 50% of the time I have a dull pain in my chest on the centre about the second rib down, any thoughts ?

thanks for reading

Andrew

Definitely get it checked out, could be nothing but may be an indication that the valve is deteriorating. Do you already have check ups with a cardiologist? If so, contact them and get an appointment. Not worth taking any risks.
